Michael Banks is the president of the Friends of the Neches Refuge for the year 2023.  Michael is a retired dentist, kayaker, fisherman and outdoorsman.  He assisted the US Fish and Wildlife Service in the establishment of the Neches River Wildlife Refuge in 2006 and is a charter member of the Friends of the Neches Refuge organized in 2013.
